Happy Days!
Good to see you arrived safely in Blighty. ๐
Well, you must be back in the South Coast by now. Hope the weather’s been favourable for you both and you’ve started getting your Sun Tans for the journey South ๐
Not much happening here at JWC, but the Sailing Club now has a new committee, and they have spoken, thus preventing inane tasks. We are having our first Childrens training week as I speak. Dave and Andy doing a grand and smooth course. Jason is flustered as usual lol. Having to juggle those inane tasks lol and me, just chilling on Happy Daze.
I have sent your Phots to Inchy and also a few words to go with the photos. I will get a copy of it to you when it goes out to press. You’ll have to send me a posting address.
Anyway, hope all is going with Prepping Resolute. keep well,
Arty.
Jason says Hi by the way. ๐
Lee, Just got back form a day doing make and mend – Gill grumpy that her home has become a workshop! However, all well here – glad the sailing club has sorted itself. Colin

Colin, Gill.
Exciting times ahead for you both ๐
Allโs well here, enjoying a very sunny and hot Norway at the moment.
I was going to take Happy Daze out of the water for a bit of a scrub this week, but think I have to take advantage of this weather. So Iโm going to do a bit of sailing instead lol.
Have you left the UK yet? I have a copy of the 3 Swords Mag ready for sending. Can you e-mail your forwarding address?
I am sure you did give it to me, but rummaging through my e-mails, I can’t seem to find it…
Resolute looks itching to go… nice! ๐
Anyway, speak soon.
Gill make sure Colin doesn’t decide to join the Army again; with all this reminiscing lol
Take care,
Arty
No make-n-mends for a few weeks now ๐
G&C,
FINALLY logged on and have caught up with you on the blog. How wonderful! Can’t wait till you post next! Loving that your adventure has begun!
Love you!
Sherry & Lee
I love your blogs you two – and I am not in any way whatsoe’er jealous! Keep safe my friends, and may fair winds fill your days and your sails. xx from Kernow
Hey lovely people, you sound so happy! Do you remember, Colin, that I did the leg from Villamoura to Lanzarote – via Madeira – delivering a JSASTC Nich’ 55 about this time of the year in 2009 from Norge? I remember the lack of winds and then the surplus of same! We were really lucky to see quite a lot of whales and dolphins, and, as we approached the Canaries, turtles; have you seen much wildlife? Still not jealous tho’! xx
Gill, Colin.
Seems like an eternity since you left the Sunny climes of Norsk. A few of us here have been following your adventures in ore. Hope you are both keeping well and not sunning it up too much. Jason and I have our flights on standby for when you need additional crew ๐
Weather here by the way is typical Norwegian now. Struggling to get nice weather to have my ne Cockpit Tent made, but might get it by next September (if there’s a break in the weather) lol.
Well, that’s it from me for now; but as always “Fair Winds and Following Seas”
Arty.
Gill, Colin.
God speed and I wish you all the very best ๐
Hope the chart helps.
Arty
Ahoy there, Gill and Colin,
The following lines from a well-known opera spring to mind as you continue your voyage:
โThen away we go to an island fair
That lies in a Southern sea:……………..
When the breezes are a-blowing
The ship will be going,
When they donโt we shall all stand still!……….
Away we go
To a balmy isle,
Where the roses blow
All the winter while……….โ
(Finale Act I The Gondoliers. Gilbert & Sullivan – always good for an apposite quote.)
At last Iโve caught up with the Resolute-en-voyage Blog, plus WCC logs, which together form such a fascinating account of your awe-inspiring adventures. Iโve read them with great interest and excitement (even the technical ones!). Having lagged behind until now, it has been useful reading all the postings alongside the handy map on the Fleet Viewer page, so that I can pinpoint all the places where you dropped anchor en route for Las Palmas. I also quite like playing games with the timeline at the bottom of the page and sending all the boats back to the start!
Wishing you both โcalm sea and prosperous voyageโ across the Pond, and may flocks of flying fish go with you!
Love,
Catrin (aka Land-lubber)
